Rev. Daniel Asibuoh-Sarpong, a provisional elder in the pursuit of Elders Orders in the United Methodist Church, received a call to serve God at a youthful age. As a young man, he helped established several churches in Ghana, West Africa and served as a vice president of the Presbyterian/Methodist church students union. Whilst serving as a lay leader at the Ghana United Methodist Church in the Bronx, he helped established another Methodist Church at Yonkers, NY. For more than two decades, God has used Pastor Daniel in multiple positions of transformational ministry in the life of the church and the society at large.  

Rev. Daniel answered his call to full-time ministry in 2014. Prior to his appointment at St. Paul United Methodist Church, he served as a minister-in-charge at Derby United Methodist Church, CT, ministerial assistant for youth and young adult ministries at First United Methodist Church Mount Vernon, NY and held various positions and offices in the Ghana UMC, the Bronx, NY. Active in the community, he is a member of Federal Latin American Chaplains Association International of the State of New York. On the New York Annual Conference and District levels, he served as a member of Metropolitan District on Supertendency Committee and Parish Development-Dimchex Committee, CT. 

Rev. Daniel is a product of Lehman College, City University of New York with Bachelor of Science, Accounting/Finance and Touro Graduate School of Business, New York with Master of Science degree in international business of finance and banking. Spurred on by his interest in ministry, he enrolled at New York Theological Seminary and United Theological Seminary and obtained Master’s Degree in Divinity. By dint of hard work, dedication, and discipline, he developed a special interest in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) while completing his field ministry requirements. He currently holds five (5) Units of Clinical Pastoral Education and Certificate of Ecclesiastical Endorsement from the United Methodist Endorsing Agency in the Division of Ordained Ministry of the Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church. He is also worked with Bank of New York Mellon as an accountant.

 

He is married to Mrs. Mercy Gyamfuah-Asibuoh with four children: Michael, Clementina, Edmund, and Evangel. Pastor Daniel loves to work in the Lord’s vineyard, and he is most thankful and grateful to God for his life, family and all the people God has placed in his life throughout his Christian journey.
